Social Emotional Learning

Social Emotional Learning

“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all”  Aristotle

In our childhood, as well as adulthood, we have experienced and suffered from the lack of attention on our EMOTIONS

Often, we have struggled to understand emotions and to manage them, our own way, we have not understood them or we have repressed them, or their expression  have been perceived as vulnerability.

EMOTIONS MATTER - As Yale University puts it

And we believe emotions should not be overlooked anymore. Emotions matter in daily life, at home, at work and most of all - in education.

Yet, don’t take our word for it or Yale’s for that matter :). Take a look at what the world has to say about Social and Emotional Learning:

World Economic Forum - New vision for Education, 2016

“To thrive in the 21st century, children need more than traditional academic learning. Social and Emotional skills are critical to the workforce of the future.

According to one estimate, 65% of children entering grade school will ultimately work in jobs that don’t exist today, putting creativity, initiative and adaptability at a premium.

SEL will prepare today’s students for this evolving workplace, with consequent benefits for individuals, businesses, the economy and society."
